Last weekend our birds flew the first middle distance race of the season, Melun (310km). The start of the middle distance season is always exciting. We are very confident about the quality of our racing team. But you always have to wait and see how the birds will perform, how their condition is with the national races being around the corner. Our birds performed very well on this Melun race. We are looking with great anticipation to their performances of the coming weeks and months.
The Melun (310km) race was quite a difficult one. The pigeons had to deal with mostly side winds. They also faced some rain showers on the way back home.
Our pigeons won the following results:

Our first arrival was the dark checkered hen BE21-6138027. She was our second nominated pigeon in the category yearlings. One week earlier she already won 10° Noyon (208km) against 1,613 pigeons. Her father is “Wolverine”(BE18-6020279), a former first prize winner. “Wolverine”(BE18-6020279) is a son to “Elektro Junior”(BE16-6032012) and a half-brother to “Iron Man”(BE17-6025089). The mother of BE21-6138027 is a double grandchild to “Mustang”(BE14-6175237).

07/05/2022: 2° Melun (310km) 1,329 p. / 3° Melun (310km) 2,630 p.
The weather circumstances on these two races were each time difficult. BE21-6138027 is a talented racer for sure. There is one thing though she will need to improve for future races. On both races she lost one minute by flying around the loft. Now she missed on the Melun race the victory by less than a second.
Our second arrival was the checkered hen BE21-6138140. She is a granddaughter to “Iron Man”(BE17-6025089) and “Super Elektro”(BE15-6026571).
Our third arrival was the checkered hen BE21-6138042. Her father is former racer “Ito”(BE17-6025336). Her mother is “Elektro Princess”(BE17-6025201), one of the best breeding children to “Elektro”(BE08-6174630). “Elektro Princess”(BE17-6025201) is mother to a.o. “Sunny”(BE18-6020083), winner of 1° National z. Chateauroux (526km) 819 pigeons / 3° National Chateauroux (526km) 2,850 pigeons. Also two full sisters of BE21-6138042 were in the head of the race. The checkered hens BE21-6138041 and BE21-6138132 were our ninth and tenth arrival on the same Melun race.
Arrival number four was the blue hen BE20-6166111. Last year she won 49° National Issoudun (504km) against 14,758 pigeons. She is a daughter to “Green Elektro”(BE16-6032101). BE20-6166111 has got the same mother as BE21-6138027, our first arrival on this Melun race.
Our fifth arrival was the dark hen BE20-6166166. She is a daughter of “Elektro Junior”(BE16-6032012), 1st Provincial Ace-pigeon KBDB Middle Distance and 5th National Ace-pigeon KBDB Middle Distance. BE20-6166166 has already won several top prizes on the middle distance last year. We expect her to shine on the national races this year.
Arrival number six was the checkered hen BE20-6166065. She is one of the most talented birds of our racing team. Her father is the top breeder “London”(BE16-6032120). Her mother is again a child to “Iron Man”(BE17-6025089).

Our seventh arrival was the checkered hen BE21-6138233. She is a daughter to “Origi”(BE13-6026050) x a daughter to “Young Mustang”(BE15-6026285) and “Delphine”(BE11-6282004).
Arrival number eight was the checkered hen BE21-6138106. She is a daughter to “Olympic Elektro”(PL0264-13-400) x top ace “Shaki”(BE17-6025048). BE21-6138106 was one of those birds who was a part of our “super 21 group”. This group won the 21 first prizes against 1,202 youngsters on a very tough Melun (310km) race last year. Several other yearlings who were early this weekend were also part of this “super 21 group” by the way.
Arrival number nine and ten we have already mentioned earlier in this article.
Arrival number eleven was the blue hen BE21-6138141. She was our third nominated bird. As a young bird she already won 3° fast. Provincial Melun (310km) 6,017 pigeons / 2° Melun 900 pigeons (after a loftmate).
To conclude we will present you our twelfth arrival. It was our first nominated bird BE21-6138081. She is a half-sister to "Olympic La Donna"(BE18-6020283) and a granddaughter to "Elektro"(BE08-6174630). The week before BE21-6138081 won 3° Noyon (208km) against 1,613 pigeons.
